I met this company at a bridal show and they did a hair trial so I booked them to do my make-up along with my girls make-up. Weeeellllll, they relocated to California and didn’t tell any of their customers here in Florida. I started to freak out because I had put a payment down. I emailed and called for a few days and no reply. Finally, Cynthia got back to me and assured me someone would be here to do the make-up.The day of Sunny did show up and on time. She was very nice and did a great job. Only thing was that I bought and paid for airbrush (for a reason) and tattoo cover-up and she forgot a piece to do the airbrush. So I had my tattoo showing and no airbrush. I was a bit disappointed but it still looked good.

I would HIGHLY recommend this team! I mean, Val and Sunny are amazing and I couldn't be more grateful for how they came out to do my wedding at 4am and got all of us done so smoothly. I LOVE how my hair turned out... typically my hair is hard to deal with but val came and showed me some styles that would go best with my dress and hooked me up with some extensions.i was blown away by what they were able to do with my crazy hair the girls are SO sweet!!I got married at Disney's boardwalk and had to be done in time for my 6am photoshoot, not only did they get us ALL 7 of us done in time, but our hair and makeup lasted the. whole. day!! Val, thank you SO much girl! I'll be sure to send anyone your way! I'll send you some pics soon! xoxox

Glow Salon--Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our wedding on October 1, 2010 the best it could be. Even though it was an early morning, there were no bumps in the road and my hair, makeup, and nails looked fabulous. Thank you again for everything.Love, Amy J.

I have never posted a bad review online before, but I really wanted everyone to know that this company is the most unprofessional I had ever worked with and would strongly advise other brides not to risk their special day with them as I did. First of all, I originally had 5 girls for hair and 7 for makeup. I had asked the salon to be at the location at 9:00 am because it was extremely important to me not to be rushed that morning, which they agreed to. About 2 weeks before the wedding, my mother-in-law told me that she would like hair and makeup as well. Val, the owner/hairstylist, said that would be no problem. Concern about time, I asked if we could up the start time to 8:30 am and she again agreed. The day of the wedding came and the makeup artist, who they contracted out, called me at 8:00 to let me know she would be there at 10:00. When I told her I requested for 8:30 she said that she doesn't always arrive at the same time as Val. I let her know there were 6 people that needed make up. She told me there would be plenty of time. By the time it was 9:00, Val still hadn't shown up. I tried to contact the only number I had for her but she didn't answer. I called the makeup artist and finally got her cell phone. When I called her she said that she wouldn't be there till 10:00!!! I told her we had agreed that she would be there at 8:30 and reminded her that there were 8 people to complete and we had to leave at the very latest 1:00 pm. She told me that 3 hours was enough time to do 8 people. It all went down hill from there! When they finally got to the location, I told Val I wanted my hair half up half down but curly at the bottom. I asked her to put my hair in rollers first while she was completing the girls hair so that it wouldn't fall. She told me no that she would do mine last. The makeup artist started my first bridesmaid and took ONE WHOLE hour to complete her makeup! Then having to rush through everyone else including myself. Val was rushing through my girls and barely used any hairspray. By the time she finally got to me, we had 25-30 minutes before we had to leave. She hurried through my hair and I had to quickly put my dress on, the photography didn't even have a chance to get pictures of me getting ready. I took pictures with my girls really quick and left at 1:15 pm. Within 10 minutes of leaving the location, my hair was completely flat and so was the girls whose hair was down! We got to the church and I had to hurry up and go down the aisle. I didn't every get a moment to take the whole experience in. Just like that one of the biggest days for my husband and I was done. I contacted Val after the wedding, to inform her on what her irresponsibility and unprofessionalism caused me to miss moments in wedding that I can NEVER get back. She apologized and told me that she FORGOT to write down the 8:30 time. I asked her where she got the 10:00 time from, since that time had never been discussed. She basically told me that it wasn't up to me what time that they get there, they calculate how much time they need and show up then. I told her I didn't get the pictures that I wanted because they were late. She told me she didn't know we wanted pictures. She had bragged who they had done so many weddings and all their brides were very happy. I find it hard to believe that they have done all these weddings and they don't know brides take pictures before they go to the church! I was so frustrated will her I started to cry. She offered me a $100 refund out of the $1048 that I paid. What a joke! I got off the phone because I couldn't take her anymore. My mother called to speak with her, after she heard everything she told me, and she told her that she'd speak with her office manager and call her back. She never did. If she is the owner, why does she need to speak with the office manager? My final word of advise... avoid this company at all cost!!!! It is just not worth it! Spend a little extra to get a company that is professional and will be there on time. I don't want you to have the same experience that I had!

Absolutely loved the ladies that came to do my hair and makeup services. My MOH had wanted to do her services herself, but when they showed up and were doing my services. And then so did my sister. So last minute we ended up adding 2 extra people and they had no problem staying and helping us. One of them was SOO freakin' funnyyy!!! Hahah. We had such and awesome time! I would recommend this company to anybody!!

I love, love, Looooove how my hair turned out!! I had wanted the 'old hollywood/glam' and I just LOVEEDD how it turned out!! I normally keep my hair very short but I wasn't too sure I wanted extensions. I came for my trial and they already had done research and gotten some styles for me to look at. Since I'm so undecisive, we tried every.single.one! We ended up doing the wavy curls pressed on the side (my hairs also really dark), updo at the back and we pinned in some jewels to make it pop. My color pallete for the wedding was more like a light pink/grey so we went with a very rosy tone for my lips and I loved it! The owner is African American so she pretty much knew how to deal with my hair and it turned out amazingggg!!!!!!! I would recommend them 10/10!

I have always had bad skin. When they suggested airbrush makeup I was extremely skeptical and asked for a trial run. The makeup lasted ALL DAY and I couldn't see my scars at ALL!!! The came to my house and did all of the girls' services on the wedding which was extremly helpful. I would definitely recommend them!

My wedding party and I had an awful experience with this company! As others have stated in their reviews, my hair and make-up trial was considerably better than the day of. My hair came out fairly decent, but definitely did not look as good as my trial and when I tried to tell her that a couple pieces were falling she actually seemed perturbed to fix it! This was the owner of the company! She showed up late to my house and brought nothing to protect my floor or furniture. I had to scramble to find sheets and towels. She would have ruined my new carpet without even thinking twice about it. I hired the company as I thought they brought the bus that is advertised on their website. Boy was I wrong! Talk about false advertising. All of my bridesmaids disliked their hairstyles and had to redo them because they were falling out 10 minutes after being completed. Rather than being professional and offering to fix her mistake, the owner just acted as if it was their fault the hair didn't work. My poor bridesmaids ended up paying an exhorbatant amount for nothing and because they didn't want to upset me, they did not tell the woman how they felt. Then came the make-up. I came out looking like an old woman with make-up so thick and cakey it could have been a pancake! I did not look even remotely like the pictures I had provided as guidance. I paid $25 for eyelashes that were not even decent looking, were crooked, and came off with barely a touch. I had one other bridesmaid get her make-up done and it came out looking as awful as mine. We both ended up in the bathroom crying together. As soon as Valencia left, we both had to completely wash our faces and start over with the make-up. We ended up having to pay someone else to do our make-up, who did a fabulous job and cost less than half of what Valencia had charged! Unfortunately, because of the issues, we were all late to get to the site for our pictures and I lost out on many of the pictures I had wanted taken. So, not only did I waste literally hundreds of dollars, but I also did not get all of the wedding photos I had desired.I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I wish I could get every penny of my wasted money back.

I love this company! I was referred to 'em by a friend of mine who had had her hair done by them several years back. I had checked out SEVERAL salons in the area (because I wanted to be sure I was making the best choice), and I'm so glad I found them. On the day of my wedding 2 of their team came out to our place at Disney's Boardwalk. I had cut out some style pictures from some magazines and wasn't sure if the look would work on MY type of hair (by hair is kinda hard to manage most of the time), but to my surprise it turned out AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved it! Not only that, but they gave me airbrush makeup (sad to say, that was my first time ever getting that done) and it was SO cool!! All of my girls loved it! I'm not sure if they read these review things only or not but I just wanna say THANK YOU VALENCIA SALON for everything! Your girls just ROCK!

The ladies that came out to do my hair were spectacular! 3 of my bridesmaids had said that they wanted to do their services themselves, but after they saw how we all turned out they jumped in! Until this day I STILL get compliments on how my hair looked. I would definitely recommend them!

My bridal trial run for me (bride) and my sister was better than the day of. I felt like she kind of half assed it. She was finally able to create hairstyles we selected. She also had pins, tiaras and other hair accessories on hand but if you have the time find some that you really like. My pins were ok, but my sister had one fall apart 30 mins before the ceremony. Nothing crucial but 20.00 for a bag of jeweled pins to later fall apart on you is not good. Best that she comes to you and you not go to her. Her home is her location, it is not a "salon". I didn't expect my hair to be done at the dining room table nor kid run around all over the place. I was told I was going to have an invoice emailed to me which showed my balance due day of service. I never received it. I feel like I was overpriced for what I received.I'd look around first before finally settling on using her.

Janelle did my hair as well as the 2 mothers of bride and groom and a godmother- all of which came out STUNNING! We were complimented all evening for it. She was also amazingly fast! 5 women's updo's in about 2 hours! She's a doll and she is def worth booking! They are way more than I intended to spend on hair, but their was convience of her coming to the hotel instead of having to go to a salon morning of was nice.

I paid $90 for my hair and makeup test. I explained in great detail (even brought sample pics) of how I wanted my hair. I was not unreasonable, these were styles that were created for hair like mine. The stylist Valencia (who is also the owner of the company) was unable to duplicate the styles, or even really come close. Towards the end of the hair portion she finally seemed to understand what I wanted and assured me that my hair would be pinned much higher and tighter and look much fluffier/messier curls on the day of; she simply could not do it that day because of all the other things she had already done to it. Whatever...She proceeded to do my makeup with her M.A.C. kit (one of the reasons I chose her company). Everything went very well in that department...makeup is what I was most worried about because I pride myself on my makeup applying abilities. I left feeling okay about her, thinking that now she understood and it would be all right. The day of the wedding came. Valencia Salon was doing makeup for me (the bride), my mom, mother-in-law and matron of honour. First, the owner was the one doing our hair...so, she didn't bring her makeup kit. But she did bring along an assistant who had her own...and it was a Mary Kay kit...they still had M.A.C. foundation for the airbrush machine, but everything else was crap. I had far superior stuff in my personal kit. Naturally, because the assistant was not who I had my trial run with, she was abhorrent. Very nice woman, no makeup skills whatsoever. My wedding dress was a classical, rather formal ivory...to correspond with that, she opted to make me up as a gothic harlot...she also put waterproof mascara on my Extreme Lashes ($300), even though I specifically instructed her not to. She made my mother and matron of honour have glowing gold/white eyes...they came out looking very frightened and raccoon like. I thought my mother-in-law's makeup was done quite nicely, but she hated it.The owner, hairdresser for our purposes, did not know what a French twist was. This is the staple of formal hairstyles and also one of the simplest. I don't think you can call yourself a hairdresser if you don't know how to do one...let alone understand the general concept. Valencia actually allowed herself to get into an argument with my mom, because after 3 renditions of some odd ponytail concoction my mom started to get upset and tried at length to make her understand what the hell a French twist was. She tried to tell my mother, who has hair past her shoulders, that her hair was not long enough to do that. She never did get my hair right...it was decent for about 20 minutes, but by the time I walked down the aisle it was falling apart. My matron of honour, who has short, straightish hair wanted something exceedingly simple, which was never accomplished...at least not until the "salon" people departed and she did it herself. We were both relieved and comepletely peeved when Valencia and her assistant left. I took out my makeup kit and fixed all of our eye makeup, as well as I could...we didn't have time to redo it, which is what it really needed. My wedding went pretty well, but if there was a disaster it was the hair and makeup for certain. If I hadn't been so determined to remain calm and happy and if it weren't for my faith in the wonders of Photoshop, Valencia Salon on Wheels could have completely ruined the day.I am willing to show anyone who is interested the photos of the makeup jobs, prior to our edits in Photoshop. Also, this company required a 30% gratuity prior to service. At the time, I thought that was ridiculous, because tips should only be based on services rendered. I paid it anyway. I had doubts about this company from day one, but I didn't trust my instincts; I liked some of the photos on their website and thought they could perform to that standard. They didn't, and I doubt they are capable of ever doing so.

I didn't really have the best experience with Valencia salon on wheels. Most of my bridesmaids hated their makeup and hairstyles... felt like they were too overdone and didn't really get the response they were looking for. Also pricing communication was very very misleading and I ended up being charged for services that my bridesmaids and mother in law did not even end up getting. I felt as though my hair and makeup were better at the run through but in the end nothing ruined my day.I felt as though I paid way too much money for the services I received. I would not recommend this service.

I would say SHOP AROUND. She did a nice job and myself and my flowergirls, but my bridesmaids were not too happy. She over charged me the day of the service and I felt I could have gotten better work for the money I paid to her. Not to thrilled about this vendor.

When I visited Valencia Salon -on wheels for my trial hair run she did a nice job and was very personable. On my wedding day, they got lost and arrived a little late which was no big deal. They did a lovely job on my hair and makeup (and on my flower girls hair) but my maid of honor was very displeased with her hair. She ended up having to redo it herself. I had false Eyelashes on that became irritating after a while but they refused to return to fix them. So my maid of honor ended up redoing my make up. I wouldn't use them again.
