The D-Tales

I never give perfect scores on everything but I just couldn't help it with April at The D-Tales. I hired her for the Day Of service, but she has been a part of my plans since the beginning. She answered any questions and suggested vendors to me when I was stumped. I had a very unusual wedding with a Klingon Theme that involved costuming, prosthetics and a makeup crew. On the day of, April took charge of an unwieldy group of costumers and actors and marshalled us into a good semblance of an excellent production. She kept me sane and fed and overall enjioyed being a part of the process and a friend. I highly recommend The D-Tales for any wedding planning!

Wedding planning philosophy: If your wedding planner is as excited about your wedding as you are -- you are in luck! This is exactly the energy that April brings to wedding planning. My husband and I had a somewhat unique situation given that he lives in Victoria, B.C., Canada and I live in Seattle and the wedding was in Cocoa Beach, FL. I initially contacted April about our pending simple (25 people, low-key) beach wedding. Here is part of her reply: "I think your needs are quaint and I feel that my planning and prices would be way more that i would ever suggest to a bride. I am more than happy to give you wonderful suggestions and ideas but i am going to refer you to a better option...." "Like I said, I dont think you need my services for what you are looking for (who on earth turns away business??? I do!!!!!! But only because I want your day to be exactly what you want it to be!!!!) NOW, i will say that i am available to assist you any way possible. Just email me." OK....that speaks volumes. So, I took her advice and found someone who could both help plan and perform the wedding ceremony. After about two weeks of working with another Orlando-based wedding planner I started gettting this feeling -- this feeling that something just wasn't right. It's not that the planner did anything wrong, rahter, my intuiting was speaking volumes to me. What to do? I called April. She said, "Girl, listen to that inside voice, it's never wrong." And so, I fired my wedding planner. April then stepped in and offered her services for our wedding that was to be far from the stunning and elaborate weddings she has created and perfected for other clients. As simple as our wedding was, it was stunning. It was elaborate. It was simple. She arranged the most gorgeous bouquet for myself and maid of honor and a cake which complemented the flowers along with arranging for catering, paper goods, orange juice, plenty of chamagne and transportation from Cocoa Beach back to the EO Inn and Spa in Orlando. I can't say enough. I met up with her the evening before for delivery of all the wedding goodies and accents. I wish I had had more time to spend with her. Our wedding was PERFECT. I mean PERFECT. Because my husband and I live so far away from Florida I was worried and didn't want to be the frantic bride trying to get everything together and thus neglecting time with our families Even when I did feel a bit frantic, April reminded me to breathe. And so I would stop and breathe. And then I'd feel better. April really stepped out of the bounds of her norm to help with our wedding plans. I could carry on with accolades for Ms April but I think you get it. Oh, one last thing. She is SO personable and genuine. She felt like a sister or best friend who simply wanted everything to be perfect for me. And it was. And so, without reservation, I highly suggest April Dorsey and her D-Tales team. Bonny was such a stress reliver through out the whole process. You think that you can handle it and I tell you what I thought I had everything done. Met with Bonny a few weeks before and she truely made sure that everything was covered even things I never thought of. She is such a wealth of knowledge and so organized that I who am known to be a control freak was able to let go and just have fun my whole wedding day. Thank you soooooooo much Bonny

My siblings and I hosted a vow renewal ceremony for my parents in Orlando, Florida. And Bonny of The D-Tales was our event planner. She was amazing. She had everything under control and was wonderful at the ceremony. You really don't know how much you need an event planner until you hire one. Bonny was an invaluable resource for us during the finishing process. The ceremony was perfect. And all our family and friends were very impressed with how smoothly everything went. All in all hiring The D-Tales was the single best choice we made in planning our parents vow renewal ceremony. And we appreciate Bonny and her team's hard work, professionalism, attention to detail, and enthusiasm.

I learned about the D-tales at a bridal show. I walked by and just asked them a question concerning my colors and what type of venue would work for me. I gave them my two colors and was given a venue that was to the T of what I wanted, later on that week I went to the Rix lounge at Disney and booked my red and black initmate wedding. My wedding planner (Bonnie) was awesome. I was the bride who hated talking on the phone, plus I was taking law classes and being a full time mom, it just wasn't possible. But Bonnie stayed right there with me. I swear we both were night owls because I could be finishing up my homework at 1Am and email her and 5 min later she would be replying. I even had a break down at the try on for the guys tux and I texted her and she replied without hesitation. The day of my wedding was flawless, she had things ready and stuff that I couldn't even think of like red ribbons on my huge favor boxes tied with a bow. She knew all the line dance songs to request for the DJ and made sure I Ate lol. Her one thing was that I was to leave the stressing up to her and I did just that, if I needed her I would look up and she was right there. That Night she was there for me and it felt like it. I texted her the day after the wedding because no one was sending me pics of the tables and the way the reception looked and I couldn't wait till the actual photos came in and again at 1am she replied with some pics. She is outstanding and I highly recommend her and the D-tales.

Words can not express our gratitude and appreciation towards April and her amazing team. Our wedding was perfect and we owe that to April. I knew from our initial meeting that she was exactly what we needed in a day of coordinator. Not only was she fantastic on the day of but she was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I must have sent her hundreds of emails over the year of planning and she was always very quick to respond. She knew exactly what she was talking about with everything! She saw our vision and helped make it come true! April helped make me feel completely comfortable and confident in her abilities that everything would go smoothly the day of the wedding. I was surprisingly calm and not stressed the day of the wedding because I knew she would be an incredible job. She even helped put us in contact with several different vendors who were exactly what we were looking for. We will never forget our experience working with April and the rest of the team. Bonny Bailey is truly amazing. If it was not for her and her level of professionalism my event would not have happened....period. So many things completely out of our control went wrong the day of the event (which is to be expected) and she held it together like glue. She made sure everything was running as smoothly as possible and made sure every detail was handled and taken care of. I am a wedding professional myself and I would reccomend her to every client I have myself. She loves what she does and you can see it on her face. If there were 10 stars she would deserve that.

April & Her Team are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The D-Tales went above and beyond from what I expected from them. From our Initial Consultation April did an amazing job of getting to know me as her client, understanding the needs and developing something new and unique as I am not your average Bride. If it wasn't for her and her team, I know our special day would've been a disaster. April is a great person to work with, organized, high energy, caring, sweet, positive and VERY RELIABLE! Bonny was the best thing to happen to my wedding! Before we hired her our wedding seemed to be slipping away in all the little details, but by the end of our first meeting with her there was a calm that washed over the entire process. All of the questions about, 'How will this get there?' or 'Who's going to make sure it goes like this?' were no longer questions because we knew that we could rely on Bonny. I honestly have no idea how my day would have gone without Bonny working in the background, coordinating vendors and making sure that we could just enjoy our wedding rather than worry about who's doing what and where they should be. Hands down best decision we made in our vendor selection process.

Bonny Bailey was a total joy to work with!!! She made this day everything my daughter had ever dreamed of and more! We gave her a budget and she kept all of our costs right where we wanted them, and when we threw a new idea at her she made it happen. I never imagined that there could be no stress planning and putting together this day for our daughter. We were able to smile and enjoy every moment.

As I stated on facebook, a mere "post" really can't express how much we appreciate your help. But in a nutshell, my new HUSBAND, Tony Vumbaca and I agree that YOU ROCK!! :-) We hired April to rescue us from a crazy planning experience and take care of our Day-Of Coordination. April was so awesome, and truly went out of her way to help out with last few vendor meetings that I had, and helped me to find some of the special personalized things that I needed to make our day special and unique. She was super organized and helped me think of a lot of things that I might have overlooked. And on the day of, her and Bonnie seriously just kept us so cool. I can't thank you enough for coming to our rescue, and I will certainly pass you on to any of my bride-to-be friends! Thank you thank you Thank YOU!

April and her team are AMAZING! As a fellow wedding vendor, I thought I had a good handle on what to expect. April and her girls surpassed my expectations by far. She is like a horse whisperer or something, I swear! On my wedding day, I am willing to bet she was working my day before I was awake and LONG after I was asleep. She may look like Barbie, but she ain't scared to break a sweat. Not one of my family members or I had to worry about a thing. Another unexpected benefit of April - she calmed my nerves when no one else could. She is so worth every penny. I recommend her HIGHLY to everyone.

April truly went above and beyond even our wildest dreams. Our wedding day would have been incomplete without her. The attention she pays to the little details sent my wedding from AMAZING to SPECTACULAR!!!! Our day went so smoothly that my husband and I didn't have to think about anything except having a good time and sharing our love. She is what made our day perfect. If your thinking about getting married and you don't want all the stress she should be the first thing you book.

April and The D-tails team are truly amazing!!!!! I married the love of my life on March 19, 2011 and because of her our wedding was the perfect dream come true. My husband and I are lucky to have found her because without her we would have been lost in this exhausting process of planning and pulling off a wedding. And if you are lucky enough to book her you will understand why. She is always there when you need her and often times before you need her. She takes the visions in your head and turns them into reality. She worked with our crazy schedules and crazy families and managed to keep everyone sane and happy. My guests all loved her and she made it so my husband and I could relax and enjoy our special day. April is a priceless asset in having your dream wedding come true. She will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Face it girls, you don't have time for everything. And unless you have been 'the bridesmaid' a few dozen times, there are details you are going to forget. That is why you need Bonny. Prompt, pleasant and Practically Perfect in everyway, she will help guide you thru to the perfect wedding for 5 or 500. I thought I could whip this wedding out of my bag of tricks and it would be awesome. Oh, I was so overwhelmed. This isnt the place to cheap out- there is real time photo video evidence that you forgot something- on you tube before even the cake has been cut. (cake? where is the cake?) Do yourself, and your mom a favor. Get Bonny to help. she'll make it right, she'll make you feel good, she'll let you be the star of your show, and your show won't appear on the Wedinator.

Working with Bonny and her team was such a pleasure. She was the epitome of professionalism, yet felt like one of the family! It was such a relief knowing that the event was in such capable and competent hands. Thank you for a successful evening!

April is the best! My wedding had too many details for me to deal with on the big day. I couldn't even figure out my vision. She was amazing at helping me envision and pull it all together! Even if you have the smallest budget, she is worth it! :)

April was a pleasure to work with she is extremely organized and and knows what she is doing. She interacts well with other vendors and goes way above and beyond what I had expected. She kept us on budget and even helped get us a discount or two. I was hesitant to hire a wedding planner I wanted to save that money and thought I could do it all for my daughter however, it was money well spent everything went smooth and I was able to relax and enjoy myself.
