Tavern and Chapel in the Garden

Beautiful venue! I could not think of a more beautiful place to have had our wedding!!! The girls there are very hard to get a hold of...communication not that great which is difficult when you are trying to plan a wedding. All the flower arrangements they set up in the chapel looked great!

I probably would develop carpal tunnel explaining to you how amazing this place was for our wedding. All I want to say is that we had a perfect time in a beautiful place. I insist that you go and visit this place and at least consider it. It has been in The Knot magazine numerous times, and there is a reason for it. The price was actually affordable because we bought a special which included the DJ, catering, beer and wine, and rental rights for the entire estate until the next morning. We stayed at the enormous, beautiful guest house that is surrounded by the gardens and overlooks the intercoastal waterway. The services they provide and the venue they have is truly one of a kind, so go check it out! Thanks tavern and chapel for an unforgettable night.

We used the Tavern for our daughter's reception and Snow White's cottage and the gardens for the cocktail hour. Guests were totally amazed and blown away with the beautiful setting and decor of the Tavern! They had a truely magnificant experience in a warm and comfortable setting! Kellie and Katie and their staff at the Tavern were wonderful to work with and full of great ideas!

The most perfect & beautiful setting. Little white chapel was intimate and comfortable. The grounds are stunning. Right on the river, koi ponds, bridges, beautiful gardens, and the tavern was the perfect place for our reception. I was disappointed with the follow up. Emails often went unanswered and phone calls too. We eventually changed our point person to Katie and she was great. Lynda was great too and they were very detailed oriented. A bit pricey but you get so much and our guests were amazed

Tavern and Chapel in the Garden is absolutly beautiful. It is so nice after the ceremoney not to have to leave to take pictures, because the grounds are exquisite. I had a plethora of guests comment on Facebook and to me personally that it was the best wedding they ever attended. We could not have asked for a more perfect place.

As soon as we stepped foot onto the property we immediately knew we found ourselves a gem. We had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Ms. Katie, were she gave us the grand tour of this secret garden estate. As soon as she opened the Chapel doors I saw myself walking down this aisle and only this aisle. My fiancĂ© and I looked at each other at the same time and said this is it and we want it all! John and I married on September 24, 2011. We acquired the entire property all day and stayed in Agatha’s Cottage on our first night as husband and wife. I was so glad that we almost attended every open house. The vendors that they brought in were amazing, professional and just the perfect accessory to our big day! The beautiful cottage waited our arrival and had everything ready for her bride and bridal party. The bridal suite, the spiral staircase, the views of the garden and Halifax River were even more beautiful from the first day I lay eyes on it. My handsome groom and groomsman were greeted by a very manly Sunshine Express train to get ready in. The slick jukebox waited for them to plug in an iPod so they could just fill the air with some good music, laughs and just the perfect atmosphere to get decked out for the big day. The gardens in this place are exquisite! No stone was left unturned, every thing about it was neatly manicured, placed and even the Koi fish seemed to be right on cue to impress us with their beautiful colors. The trees are art work. Not one looks the same and it’s as if they all have a story to tell. As soon as I walked into the white chapel I saw my future in front of me. Not only having the man of my dreams but it being the perfect place to say my “I do’s” forever. I love the smell of the wood, the stained glass windows and of course the bell tower just ringing for joy of a new covenant made. Our reception was in the Tavern and it welcomed each one of guests with great food, flowers, dancing, and celebration. It was just enough room for everyone to feel this was a special treat for them too! At the end of our evening we had a beautiful horse drawn carriage to carry us off to our happily ever after. It was the perfect day and couldn’t have gone any better than it did. The Tavern and Chapel have a fun, loving, organized team that is there for you. It was truly a blessing and an honor to not only acquire the property but acquire the people that keep it beautifully maintained and ready for any event you may have. Our Officiant, Lon Tosi performed an extraordinary Ceremony that we will never forget. The Harpist, Melody played beautifully & touched all of our heartstrings.. The Caterer, Chef Pappa (& his wonderful staff) attending to our every need, which all of the guests were so appreciative of the delicious food & their kindness..The Bartender, that was wonderful & attentive and We couldn’t have asked for a better Professional DJ - Jim @ Mister DJ – ENTERTAINED EVERYONE ALL NITE LONG & was FANTASTIC PARTY that we didn't want to end! It was like we were one big happy family all nite long!! Our Photographer, Soleil Thornton (Thornton Photography), was everywhere to capture all the special moments that we will treasure for a lifetime! BLESS ALL OF YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO – THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME DREAM COME TRUE..Our Daughter felt like she was the Princess in Cinderella's Castle living her magical fantasy while you saw to every single detail...This VENUE is SO UNIQUE & SPECIAL to have everything in the same location - THEY TRULY ENJOYED having the Groom w/his Groomsmen in the "Caboose" all afternoon to get ready, while the Bride w/her Bridesmaids were enjoying the 3br/3bath "Cottage" to get ready...THEY LOVED STAYING ON PROPERTY AFTER THE WEDDING FOR THEIR HONEYMOON in the Cottage with the indoor pool/jacuzzi to begin their new life together. This day certainly would not have been possible without all of your help!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

Kellie Cooper and her professional group of staff, were just AWESOME! The venue is absolutely beautiful, whether you choose an outdoor setting with beautiful mature oaks, palms, or riverfront as your backdrop, or the quaint air-conditioned chapel. Being a June wedding, we chose the Chapel and still used the gorgeous grounds for pictures. The Tavern was a perfect spot for the reception, and the caterer (Aunt Catfish) was excellent and a great choice in food at a reasonable price. We used New Smyrna Beach Florist, who did a superb job working with The Tavern and Chapel in the Gardens. Publix makes an awesome cake and very cost affordable. Kellie didn't leave any stone uncovered. She is very detailed oriented and knows her business. Was a pleasure to work with. Would HIGHLY recommend on all levels!

The venue is so gorgeous! We had an outdoor cocktail hour in the well-kept, awesome gardens followed by reception in the traditional feeling Tavern, it flowed nicely and Katie and Kelly made sure of that! They did an awesome job of getting everything to flow on the day of the wedding and helped so much with the planning and details before! A five is simply not high enough for this amazing venue with the BEST staff anywhere. We searched EVERYWHERE for the location for our wedding and reception before stumbling across this gem. When we got the pricing, we thought there must be some mistake, because it was such a good value. Kelly and Katie are so awesome to work with and helped me not only achieve my wedding dream, but exceeded even my high expectations. It was a wonderful day!

My wedding was absolutely perfect due to the wonderful work of Kellie and Katie. I could not ask for a better location for breathtaking, intimate wedding. I would highly suggest using Kellie's or Katie's services (especially if you are out of town) because they know wonderful vendors and will help keep your budget in tack. I initially thought that I knew best and went with a photographer that they didn't recommend and ended up having this photographer cancel to go on a cruise. The photographer that they recommended (which I used) was absolutely wonderful, our pictures look like they could be in magazines and it was in our price range.

A complete and utter delight. Had an amazing experience, and definitely reccomend.

The venue was perfectly maintained. Guests continue to complament the wedding saying how beautiful teh property was. Katie and Kelly were very responsive to qustions and offered suggestions throught the planning process. Everything was perfect!!

We enjoyed every moment of our reception and so did our guests! we were able to use the whole property, which many of our in town guests had never even seen! The gardens are beautiful and all of our photos at the venue are wonderful. Amazing place, amazing service

Working with Kellie Cooper was a delight. She was punctual and attentive to the details necessary to making our wedding run smoothly and the property is always well taken care of. The chapel is truly unique for this area of Florida and captured our desire to have our wedding in the 'little white church.'

Katie & Kellie were so helpful and friendly during the planning & coordination of my daughter's wedding. We felt so comfortable with them like they were part of the family. We hired all of our vendors through Tavern & Chapel after meeting them at the open houses and they were all professional & fantastic. We received several compliments on the venue and everyone had a great time!

Our day was PERFECT! The grounds were beautiful, the Chapel was intimate, the Tavern was just as we envisioned and the Cottage was the perfect spot for a first night together! Chantel our wedding planner was my total savior! It was a totally stress free day for me because of her!! Thanks Chantel!! You're the best!!! We love you!!

I can not say enough about Kellie and Katie. I was planning our wedding from Dallas, Tx and that was quite a challenge but they made it SO much easier. If I needed a question answered all I would have to do is ask and in no time I would have my answer. ~ My guest were so impressed with EVERYTHING. I always dreamed of getting married in a little white chapel and the chapel was my dream come true. Simply beautiful! Thanks Kellie and Katie for everything you did to make our day perfect! Our daughter dreamed of an outdoor wedding near the water. But, what do you do in case of rain? The answer: exclusive use of the Tavern and Chapel in the Garden! This is the perfect venue for your dream wedding. The gardens, chapel, tavern, train car and guest cottage are picturesque and extremely well maintained. The girls relaxed and dressed in the guest cottage and the boys did the same in the Art Deco train car. This venue is a hidden treasure! Katie and Kellie are very accommodating, hard working and friendly and tirelessly work to make your event perfect. Their coordinating services were invaluable - don't try to do it all yourself! I am very hands on, but on the wedding day, enjoy the day and leave the details in their capable hands. Our guests loved the venue, the food and drink and the music. Thanks to Moore Fine Foods and DJ Vern of Pyramind DJ's. My only suggestion: consider changing the house wine selection. We did not really care for the wine choice; fortunately, most of our guests are beer and margarita drinkers. It is a pricey venue, but it is well worth the price. There is no other place like it in our area and I highly recommend it..
