River City Catering

River City Catering (RCC) was actually our third catering choice. We did a tasting at one other place and inquired at another, but RCC was actually the second place where we actually tasted food. In comparison with the other place we were considering, RCC's food tasted much better and was much more reasonably priced. The PRESENTATION wasn't as ornate as some of the other companies, but for us (and what we expected of our guests as well), the most important thing was the taste. The FOOD looked great and tasted great, but their plates, silverware, glasses, etc. were just average in comparison with the other places we were considering. Angela was great though. She was very flexible with us. For our first tasting we tasted a lot of different things. Then we told her our theme, she showed us the things they could make with that theme and we went back and tried those things. The food was GREAT! One of the meats was prepared almost identical to the way it was prepared at another place we tasted, but the other place was dry and lacked flavor, RCC's was moist and seasoned really well (that was actually the reason we decided to try RCC because we couldn't find entree's that tasted good enough at the other place). Their carribean rice was especially tasty, which a lot of our guest raved about even days AFTER the wedding! They were willing to alter their recipes slightly for us to fit our tastes, and then we told them the price per person we were willing to pay and she made us a menu that we could select from that would fit in that price range. We chose a buffet style meal. A beginning salad, 2 meats, 2 sides, a roll, and soft drinks and tea were served, in addition to 3 types of hors d'oeuvres (which they told us vanished quickly because they were so good - they brought food for 116 and we only had about 94 or so there) ALL for a very reasonable price! About HALF the price that the other places would have charged per person for the same amount of variety and a smaller amount of food. We wanted an open bar and they gave us a list of drink selections to purchase and they bartending fee was only $100 including the ice and all the mixers! NO ONE WAS DISSATISFIED! The only complaint that I can say is that they weren't always the easiest to get in touch with and I sometimes had to make a few calls just to ask one question, but in the end, they delivered above our expectations and we were VERY pleased! If great tasting food and amazing value is what you want: don't hesitate, RCC is your place!

This was the best wedding food you could ever imagine!!! The Flank Steak was perfect as well as all of the other elements of the menu! Not your typical wedding food! It was awesome! Thanks so much for making our day so amazing!!

River City Catering did an amazing job for our wedding! I would recomend them to anyone ! There staff was extremly nice and helpful and the food was great ! I can not say enough about River City Catering! We looked at many caters before we found this one. They were able to offer us the best value for our money and it incouded china, glasses, linens and much more. They remembered me every time I called and never made me feel silly with the many calls I made to them. : ) At the reception they were so fast to clear the tables and people are still talking about it! The food was amazing!! I have to be honest, we were thiking with the low cost that we would get low service...We were SO wrong!! It was fantastic!!! I can't wait till I get the oppertunaty to reccomend them to someone! I even still cary there card in my wallet. By far the best service at any wedding I had been to (Im not just saying that because it was my wedding)!

Angela worked with us from the very begining up until the day of the event. She was at our event and made sure that everything was the way I wanted it and took care of everything so I could enjoy my day. Her staff is kind, generous and professional. Food was tasty and all my guest loved the flavor and variety in our food selection. I would advise any bride to work with River City Catering and would use them again in a heart beat.

Very nice and helpful. Was very understanding of all the questions. Its is a husband and wife team (the husband cooks and everything he makes smells awesome!) The food was yummy and clean up was incredibly fast. A small misunderstanding about providing the champagne (we thought they did, they didnt and we ended up not having a champagne toast) but other than that it was great.

The food and service that was provided by River City Catering was absolutely superb. The food was amazing and was definitely worth every penny spent. I am so glad that we chose River City Catering to cater our wedding.
